the product has to sit for 24 hours before using, with this crazy weather we have not been able to try it yet, but I am hoping for a great crop this year (when warmer) as this product has everything ya need and then some that's why I gave 5 stars so eager to use this. This plant food is made with rain water (supposedly natural soft slightly acidic water), organic nutrients with bat guano and worm castings. It can be applied more frequently than directed (supposedly) and it is slow release (to prevent the plant roots from nutrient burns). If the smell is any indicator, you can be sure that it is organic matter... though I do not know what those bats and worms ate to make the excrement. I have been using it as directed and it seems to be fine for the potted plants that I use it on. At about 17USD for 4oz, it is not cheap... but it should still last a while if you dilute it properly. I am rating it four stars as it does its job and it is mild enough for most of my delicate potted plants from osmanthus to bonzai varieties.. and even my normal houseplants. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...My plants are responding well to this compost tea. It's easy to use and mix. I would like to see a larger size available.I love gardening, but I am not very good at it at all. This liquid plant foot seems to work. A little goes a long way and I am noticing a difference in my need plants. One thing to note: This has a rank, very earthy smell. Unfortunately, the bottle wasn't well-sealed and leaked and the smell lingered for a long time. Store this outside in a garden shed if possible.I put this fertilizer on my raised bed of herbs shortly after planting my seedlings, and they all took off really well. So it seems to be good plant food. But the directions say that once you mix it, you're supposed to wait 1-24 hours to activate the microbes...I have a hard time waiting that long! My fertilizing style is more "my plants look like they could use some food, and it's been a while since I fed them; I'll do it right now!" I'm not good at keeping a fertilizing schedule and DEFINITELY not good at planning it a whole day in advance. Plus, I have 2 young kids who I have to keep out of the mixture for whatever time I leave it sitting out...All that combined, I don't think I'll go with this fertilizer again, even though it was good for my plants.I just started vegetable gardening this past winter ( I live in the south) . All my gardening groups are wild about worm castings , but I was not ready to buy a bag, so this concentrate seems like a great solution. It takes up less space and goes much further. It is not pleasant to smell, but that's why plants like it. I made a batch to put around my flowers and they looked quite pleased. I know my veggies will love it to, come fall.First off I have to say the name got me! How cute is "Rainwater Natural Liquid Plant Food & Garden Fertilizer Concentrate | Worm Rum" ?!I obviously cannot speak on performance just yet, but so far everything is looking in its place. My garden seems to be getting a boost, and they definitely haven't died from it!Will update as time continuesAt this point, I can say I recommend!Having natural content really makes us feel comfortable using this product to grow our own vegetables. We used this for about a week now and our lettuce and cilantro, they been growing nicely. We have noticed stronger root growth with our plants than before and faster growth.
