It's surprisingly tasty.Pretty messy. Gets on everything, but product was as expected. Jury is out on whether it actually has any benefits for me. Just received it. But if I think I actually see a difference, would buy it again. Basically tasteless and is versatile for different ways of ingesting it which is great!I used the Brilliant Superfoods blue spirulina powder to make a natural blue lemonade for a baby shower. I didn't want to use anything with food dye. The color was gorgeous and the taste was neutral, exactly what I was hoping for. There was no fishy or "ocean" taste. While I wouldn't make blue spirulina a regular part of my diet per Andrew Weil's cautions, It was a perfect special occasion supplement. I gave the product only a 3 star rating for value because the jury is still out on the safety of cultivated spirulina. If you everything negative about the health food Industry encapsulated into one product, Blue Spirulina is for you. It’s barkers claim it to be a superfood but one look at the nutritional info will put that to bed. Each serving contains 1g of protein, and everything else is just about 0. There appear to be trace amounts of minerals. So, there’s really nothing particularly super about this food aside from the super high price. I was sort of curious about a natural substance that’s this color but come to find out it doesn’t look like this naturally, it’s processed from green spirulina. Lastly it kinda tastes bad, which would be acceptable were this product very nutritious but, as previously stated, it isn’t. If this product were $5, I might buy it again.Nice product and a little goes a long way. I have a form next to the picture to reference the size of bag. I use this for my shakes each morning and have enjoyed it. A quarter teaspoon is plenty for the blue effect. This can be somewhat messy since this is a powder. When I first used it and tried squeezing the excess air out of the bag, it backfired on me and went everywhere. It is all natural so I was able to clean it up just fine, but was not expecting that. This morning a transferred the powder to an airtight container to avoid this in the future. It is blue spirulina, which is very water soluble and mixes extremely easily. It is so blue that I tend to get random blue spots over my sink, but it cleans up easily. The taste is actually quite good for an algae, which makes sense because it is more of an extract of the phycocyanin. People can use this for the health and nutrition benefits or for the natural food coloring. It gives me really good energy, helps with workouts and workout recovery. I think this will become much more popular in the future, but a lot of people don't realize the benefits of it yet.Loving this beautiful blue powder. I put it in everything from yogurts to oatmeal to smoothies. It blends right in easily. Be careful though because it does look like it will stain. Doesn't have any taste from what i can tell. The package looks small but considering i use half a teaspoon each time, this will last forever. The only annoying thing is that your hand will stain when you're reaching in to scoop out some powder. I wouldn't even try tipping it at the risk of getting it all over my counters and on everything.I love this stuff! A little goes a long way, can’t wait to try it in more recipes. It’s such a beautiful way to add color to your food.Great fun product. Adds great colour to a smoothie
