I have a woven, cloth clothes hamper that I purchased on Amazon. It never seemed to "stand up" tall without having some "slumped" sides, so I ordered this pot to put inside it so it would give it some stabilization on the bottom and lower sides. Well, there is a little lip around the rim of the pot, so I sat one afternoon in the driveway and used my husband's "snips", so ever so slowly and methodically cut the rim off. Once I had the rim cut all the way off, I took some light sandpaper and sanded it all the way around so it was smooth (I didn't want any of my clothes "catching" on the rim. Even with the rim cut off, it was tight to get into the woven top of the hamper, but I did, and it ended up right where I wanted it. Problem was the bottom and top of the hamper are the same size, but the hamper flares out slightly at it goes from the bottom to the top so there was a little "wiggle" room in there. I didn't want underwear or bras getting caught between the edge of the hamper and the side of the pot, so I stuffed a rolled up beach towel around it and WA LA! It works. "Mrs. McGyver" to the rescue again!! :-)
